LeadingAge DC invites you to submit nominations for individuals and/or organizations who over the last year have demonstrated exceptional commitment and service to older District residents, their teams, and organizations. Winning individuals and organizations will be celebrated at the LeadingAge DC Fall Symposium and Awards Ceremony on September 21, 2022 at LeadingAge Headquarters in Washington, DC. Nominations for the following Award categories are due on August 10, 2022.
Excellence in Care and Service
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in the delivery of quality services.
Excellence in Leadership
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to building and promoting a sense of
community; embracing diversity; promoting mentoring and collaborations; helping advance the field of aging services;
and embodying the values and mission of their organization.
Excellence in Innovation
This award recognizes a program or service from a community or organization which goes above and beyond normal operations
and enhances the field of aging services. This includes a program, service, or initiative that demonstrates unusual creativity
and out-of-the-box thinking to overcome challenges, improving a process, program, or the entire organization.
Heroes in Action
This award recognizes an individual who faced the challenges of the pandemic with grace, commitment, and innovation. They were a
beacon of hope and support to those around them during difficult times, consistently went above and beyond the call of duty in
supporting elders, and helped ensure the success of their team and organization.
